Westminster Presbytery is part of Vanguard Presbyterian Church which was formed as a continuing, Reformed, Presbyterian denomination, and is governed by the Westminster Standards as adopted by the OPC in 1939, and the PCA in 1973; and, the Book of Church Order which are all subject to and subordinate to the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.

The Presbytery consists of the following states and all the churches and ministers therein: Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, all of New England, and all the states north of Tennessee that border the Atlantic Ocean (plus, Clarksville, Tennessee).
